Ta spite of the neap tides, a very heavy sea was experienced yesterday, ftaft caused further sea erosion near tier©!! street, the water cutting in consrtw&bly, and washing away a portion of the protection works that had previ««Blf withstood the attack. The groynes are only now approaching a jwsition where it is hoped they will have a preventive effect on further iiasaage.
