NELSON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

AUTUMN SHOW

The autumn show of the Nelson Horticultural Society will common oo'.at tne Drill Hall to-day. There promises to be a fine display of chrysanthemums, and amongst the exhibitors will bo several Palmerston North growers. Ihis is the first occasion'on which exlnbitors from that part of the Dominion have been represented at a Nelson show, and their- exhibits will doubtless jend added interest to the exhibition. A Palmerston North horticulturist also intends to make a display of blooms for exhibition only. The vegetable classes promise to form a more prominent feature of the show than has be«n customary. I here will be several collections staged, a Valuable .special prize having induced a fine lot of entries. There will be a guessing competition for a handsome two-decker cake presented to the society by Mrs. M. J. Levy. : ~ , . , ' The exhibition will be open to-mor-row afternoon and evening.
