ARRIVAL AT DUNEDIN.
Dunedin, April 27. '.' In acknowledging the welcome of the Mayor on bekalf of th-jj citizens of Invereargill to-day, and when returning thanks for the addecss presented on behalf of the Corporation, General Sir lan Hamilton said that his first impressions of the tour and the country through which he had passed, reminded him of the Old Land. As the people were waiting for him on parade he would "dry up." (Laughter.) Turning to the Mayor, he asked: "Is that right?" The latter smilingly acquiesced. The day was perfect for the review. The General and his staff caught the early afternoon train for Dunedin.
General Sir lan Hamilton arrived from. Inveroargill this evening. Oh arrival ho was presented with addresses of welcome by the Caledonian Society and Gaelic Society. He afterwards inspected the High School cadets, who formed a guard of honour, and the Railway Corps. A large number of cadets arrived from the country to-night in readiness for the inspection to-morrow. G-enoral Hamilton,' who will also inspect the Garrison Artillery and National Reserve; will subsequently proceed to the Mataxno camp.
