DALGETY AND COMPANY'S STOCK SALE REPORT.

Ngatimoti, Tuesday last.—We offered a good yarding of. sheep of all classes, which sold readily at auction as follows:—Good .lambs, 8s 6d, 8s 9dj to 9s; fair lambs, 6s 9d, 7s, 8s; small lambs, 5s 6d to 6s 6d; mixed aged ewes, 12s Id; sound mouth ewes,. 10s 9d to 12s; aged ewes, 5s 6d to 8s; small 2 tooth wethers, 11s 9d, others 12s, better sorts 13s; aged rams, 30s to £2 2s; cull rams, 5s to 10s; 2 year heifers £4; cull calves, £1; aged mare,

Thorpe, Thursday.— At this fixture, which was attended by several outside buyers, we had a large yarding of sheep, consisting chiefly of ewes and lambs. Competition was keen throughout, with the result that all lines were sold at auction at the following prices: Mixed aged ewes, 12s Id; full mouth ewea, 11s to 11s 6d; and 4 tooth wethers, 13s lOd; aged ewes, Bs, 8s 6d, 9s, 9s 9dj cull .ewes, 6s to 7s 6d; young ewes 13s to 13s 6d; small lambs, 6s 6d to 7s 6d; better sorts,-Bs, 8s 9d, 9s 3d; fat ewes, 13s 6d; 2 tooth wethers, 12s to 12s 6d; mixed ewes and wethers, 12s lOd. A large number of rams were sold at from £1 to £2: cull rams, 14s to 18s 6d.

Tapaweraj.-Friday.—This sale was looked upon as being the best auction sale of sheep ever held in Nelson, the principal feature beirig the keenness of outside •-buyers, who were present from Havelock, Blenheim, Canvastown, Christchurch, the West Coast, and Murchison, for all lines of breeding ewes and wethers,' the result being that every pen was sold at auction, to the complete satisfaction of vendors. Farmers are realising the benefit of offering their stock for sale through the sale yards, and by centralising the sales, and consequently large offerings draw buyers from all parts. Practically the whole of the entry was secured by Canvastown and Chri.stchureh buyers. Some of our principal sales were as under:—On account of Mr. A. Drummond, 600 ewes at 12s 8d; on account of Mr. W. B. North, 424 three-quarter bred 2 tooth wethers at 12s, and 206 three-quarter brr'd 4 tooth wethers at 13s lid; on account of Messrs. Edwards Bros., 213 2 tooth wethers at 12s lOd; on account of Mrs. Hanron, 108 aged ewes 13s, 56 forward ewes 15s 4d; on account of Mr. W. Reay, 132 Merino wethers at 11s, and 100 Merino ewes at 11s 9d.

Other sales were as follows:— 2 and 4 tooth wethers, 13s to 14s; 2 tooth wethers, 12s 6d, 12s 9d, to 13s; 2 tooth ewes, 14s to 14s 6d; mixed aged Merino ewes, 10s 4d; full mouth ewes, 11s 7d, 12s 4d, to 13s;, fat ewes, 14s 9d, 15s 2d, 15s 6d; mixed aged ewes, 12s, 12s Bd, 13s, to 14s 3d; lambs, medium sorts 8s Bd, 8s lOd, better sorts 9s to 10s; small lambs, 7s to 8s 6d; cull ewes, 6s *9d to 8s 9d; black faced rams, £2; 2 tooth' Romney rams, 2\ guineas; 4 tooth Romney rams, £2; Lincoln rams, 2, tooth, 4 guineas to 4£ guineas; aged rams, £1 to £1 10s; cull rams, 15s; weaner pigs, 10s.
