A WELLINGTON INQUEST.

At the inquest on James Martin, the victim of the Dixon street fire last Friday night, the coroner commented on-the fact that Bolton, the occupier of the house, had admitted that he. had been smoking in one room, and the fire apparently started in that room. He ■returned'"a verdict that Martin was burned to death, but the evidence was insufficient to show how the fire origin-' ated.
