A BRIDE IN QUARANTINE.

An unpleasant adventure has befallen a young bride of a few days while on her- honeymoon in the Canton of Argovie. She left her husband at Aarau,. to visit her parents,. who live on a large farm in a neighbouring village, where the foot-and-mouth disease is raging, and both persons and. animals have been placed in quarantine by the cantonal authorities. The bride -passed through the cordon of guards without being perceived, and reached her parents' home, but when she attempted to return to her husband, in Aarau, she was turned back. She will be obliged to remain at home for an indefinite period, possibly months, until the disease has been stamped out in the locality. Her husband is not allowed to join his wife, but they are able to correspond.
