The agreement -between the Shipowners' Federation and the masforß iind officers of the coastal trading service expires on October Ist, and the draft proposals for a new agreement woro submitted by the Merchant Service Guild some weeks ago. The Shipowners' Federation ha© agreed to consider the proposals for separate agreements for masters and officers, and it is probable that a date for a conference will be fixed at the Federation's next meeting.
