Tho member for Stratford was this afternoon declaring his faith in the in■tontions of tho Government regarding ri«ids and bridges, when several Oppoisitien voices bioke out: "Whero are •the Government. There are only two 3iore." Sure enough the only members «>f the Government in the House for tho oiomont wera the Hon. W. 11. Herriee and Dr. Pomare. "Never mind," said Mr. Hino, "the Government interest will be well preserved while 1 am hero" —'an assurance that sent a ripple of •merriment all lound the Chamber.
