Mrs. Pankhurst, in her speech at the London Pavilion, declared that Parliament must give women.- votes, or kill women. She challenged tii'o Government to kill her or give her freedom. Suddenly the detectives, with their beads down to protect their faces against male suffragists .brandishing sticks and women using hatpins and umbrellas, dashed into a solid group of women in the centre of which was Miss
