TASMAN,
(From Oar Own Correspondent.)
At a largely attended meeting held on the 19th inst.., the Key. W. W. French presiding, it was unanimously resolved to form a Presbyterian Church atvTasman. The meeting decided -to recommend tho Nelson Presbytery to acquire the section of land offered by the Tasman Fruit Lands, Limited, the residents undertaking to proceed at once with tho erection of a suitable church building. The following officers were elected :—Secretary, Mr W. Benzioa; treasurer, Mr H. A. Permin; committee, Messrs H. Benzies,*E. McKerral, J. M. Stewart, A. J. Adamson, and S. J. Brown. Mr Nottage was nominated to represent the congregation on the Kirk Session of the RiwakaMoutere parish. A ladies' committee was elected, consisting of Mesdames ■ McKorral, Kromer and Nottage, and Miss M. A. Brown, with power to add to their number. A "working bee" is •toi-jbe arranged shortly to clear and improve the site for tho church.
