LODGE VICTORY, No. 40

(From "Tho Colonist," May 23.)

The installation of the W.M. and investiture of officers of Lodge Victory, No. 40, took place at the Masonic Hall, Collingwood street, last evening, when there was a la.rgo attendance of brethren, including member^ of Southern Star Lodge, No. 735, E.C., Forest, and Motueka, and.iepresentativos of several sister lodges. Ihe installing ceremony was performed by R.W. Bro. W. Moyes, P.P.G.M.. assisted by various past masters,' Wor, Bro. E. Grove carrying out the duties of Director of Ceremonies. Bro. N. ii. Williams presided at tho organ. Tho following officers weredulv installed: W.M., Bro. J. Honlker; S.W., Bro. E. W. Rudman ; J.W., Bro A. E. Hedges; treasurer, R.W., Bro. W. Moves, P.P.G.M. ; secretary, W. Bio. R. W. Stiles; chaplain, W. Bro J. Bartlott; S.D., Bro J. L Clung; J.D., Bro H. P. Stophenson; D. of C, W. Bro. E. Grove; organist, Bro. A. G. Thompson; J. G., Bro. W. Webb; .senior steward, Bro. A. T. McGregor; junior steward, Bro". D. Widdowson; tylor, Bro. C. W. Moore. At the conclusion of the ceremony the brethren adjourned to the social hall, where' the usual banquet was hold, and the customary toasts, interspersed with songs and musical items, wore honoured.
