TERRITORIAL NOTES.
It is understood several changes are pending in connection with the local staff at Nelson. Captain A. H. Burn is to transfer to the Ist (Canterbury) Regiment as adjutant, and h's place is to bo taken by Captain N. W. B. B. Thorns, at present adjutant of the Ist (Canterbury) • Regiment. Captain F. H. Lam pen is .appointed to take charge of area group 12, with headquarters at Nelson. He will be in charge of the local office. Lieutenant H. J. Redmond is posted to be adjutant of the 10th (North Otago) Regiment. Tho H Battery wero tho only city company not represented at yesterday's parade, and sorno surprise was caused therein*.
The Ray. J. H. MccKonzie has qualifkd with sufficient, service for the Territorifil Decoration. A large number of officers in Nolson hare gained t.Ms distinction, which is evidence- of thoir attachment to tho defence cause.

Redmond, who are transferred to Christchurch and Oaiuaru respectively, SergeantMajor . Col clou gli has. been transferred on promotion to Chiistchurch as Brigade Sergeant-Major. SergeantMajor Weston,. of Blenheim, will succeed 'him; and Sergeant-Major "Wndon will succeed Lieut. Redmond as area officer. Sergt.-Major Gardner, of Takaka, is to be transferred to Nelson.
