MASONIC GRAND LODGE.

ANNUAL COMMUNICATION IN

AUCKLAND

Auckland, May 14. The annual communication of the Mafxnic Grand Lodge opened in the Town Hall to-day, Bro. Maurice Thompson presiding as Grandmaster. Representatives wero present from all parts of the Dominion. . C

Tho financial report showed a cash balance- in sou-oral funds: General, £4073; fund of benevolence, £3207; W fund £20,626; Circular Appeals, £1695 j Representative Fund, £477; total, £30,000.

Tho reiwrt of the board of management of'W. rind 0. and A. M. fund showed thnt 28 annuities are now being paid, totalling £655 per annum. The report of the Hoard of general purposes stated that six now lodges had been opened during the year, making the present total 195. An agreement had been arrived at with the Grand Lodge of Scotland on the long-deferred question of terms of recognition, and was submitted to the Grand Lodge for ratification. It is recommended that the■'next communication bo. held in Christchurch.
