Wellington, Jan 2. Tho Wellington senior Wednesday cricket toum defeated Canterbury by 10 wickets. Canterbury rrnide 58 (McFarlaa 14 boing the only doublo figure), and 7T (Koano 33, HiiK'ksrnan 11, McFarfcino 10). In the first innings Mclntyre took 5 wickets for 14, and Harris 5 for 41; and in the second Harris got 8 for 26. Wellington knocked up 130 (Harris M, Goorge 52), Skelton taking four wickets for 29 runs. Mclntyre and iWarno then went in, and the former got tho necessary run to win off the second ball. The junior team defeated Canterbury by eight wickets. The visitors made 112 (Faulkner 29) and 67. In the second innings Wicks took three wickets for 19, and Cohen .seven for 42. Wellington made- 175 (A. J. Williamson 69, L. Williamson 30, Wicks 26, O'Brien 26), and 9 runs for two wickets.
