VISIT TO MOTUEKA.
Tho Hon Mv Ell th-en motorod to Motueka, where he was met by the Mayor (Mr J. S. Wratt), and Borough Councillors, and extended a hearty welcome to, tho district. Tho Minister was subsequently entertained n.t lunch at Holdsworth's Poet Office Hotel by the Mayor and Councillors.
After lunch the Minister went to Jliwaka, where he was shown, come of tho orchards, and on his return he inspected the building at Upper Moutc'ro which ifi being Tir-cd as a post office. He also visited tho HSine for Defectives nnd tho Stoko Orphanage. At the latter place ho was' welcomed by Father Goggan, and shown through tho institu-. tioii by tho master and matron (Mr and Mrs Flaherty). The boys, who were ■drawn np outside the building, wero afterwards addressed by the Hon Mr Ell. Father Gogpc-an, and Mr Atmore, M.P. A3. tiio visitarß loft thror- <-l;errs wero jjiven in their honour by tho I>ovp. Last evening Mt Ell and Mr. D. lU)hertso.n wero the guests of Mr H. Buigont (Waimoa street) at dinner. Tho Minister will proceed to Blenheim by this morning's coach.
