Dannevirke, May 14Meunbers of a deputation winch waited upon -the Premier in regard to giving road access to the scenic reserve recently g&zotted, were disappointed at thct reception accorded them. The Mayor explained the need for »■ road us the reserve is surrounded by, private properties, but tho Premier saul that the policy of the Department was not to give access to reserves. Another of the deputation wanted to know the value of the reserve if people could not gain access. The Premier: "You can take, it from me you won't get si road." Continuing, ho said that, if people were givon access to tho reserve they would destroy it.
