WELLINGTON ORPHANS' CLUB.

The second entertainment given by the Wellington Orphans' Club in aid of the Nelson Hospital' Nurses' Home was attended by a very large audience in the Theatre Royal last evening. The programme was a new one, and was considered by many who had listened to both performances to be better than the first night. From a financial point of tiew the visit of the Orphans Has been an unqualified success, and the funds in aid of tlie Hoilie have benefited to a very large extent. Last night's prdgramirie was as follows:—Overture, orcheti-a; opening chorus, "Merriest Fellows are We"; song, Captain Stevens, "Sergeant of the Line," encore "Our Little Nipper" ; humourpus Skett-h, Mr A. Newtoiij "After Dinner Sp'ee'ehes," encore "A Farmer in New York" song; Mr C: Hiekinott, "Trooper Johnny Ludlow;" encore "A Perfect Day"; banjo-mandoline solo, Mr F. W. Connors, "The Darkey's Patrol," encore "Believi; Me if All"; humourous recitation, Mr C. Girdlestone, "The Bald-headed Man," encoro "Monkey Band Soap" ; song, Mr H. N. Fletcher, "Angels Guard Thee," enooro "Home, Little Maori Home" (a composition by Mr Hill, of Wellington); humourous song, Air D. Kenny, "lias it ever occurred to You," encores "Risibilitotl," and "When the Minister Comes to Tea" ; "Pay Sony," Mr C. Hickmott. Second half: Overture,, orchestra; "Sherlock Holmes," Messrs S. Tingey, C. Girdlestone, J. Culford Bell; humourous duet, Messrs D. Kenny and A. W. Newton> "Chestnuts," encore, "Our 'Ans an' our 'Arts"; "Great Scott"; lecturetto on epigrams, Dr. Izard; diiet, Messrs Hickmott and Fletcher, "Still ag tho Night," recalled; sleight of hand, Mr F. Major; humourous recitation, Mr J. Culford Bell, "Proposals," encore "Palsoy" ; quartette, Messrs Kenny, Newton, Hickmott and Captain Stovens, "Black our Eye," encore "Simple Simon." Mr D. A. Kenny accompanied the performers throughout. .
