In tho Senate the debate on the Arbitration Bill was resumed. Senator Millen described the Bill as practically useless, as there was no guarantee that the workers would observe an award if it were against tliem. Senator Pearce replied that 71,965,----000 persons were working under awards and there were practically no strikes.
