THE MOTUEKA SEAT.
Mr. F. H. Din-bridge will speak at River Terrace on Monday next, and at other places on dates advertised. Mr F. W. Smith addressed the electors in the Public Hall, Dovedale. • v Tuesday last, upwards of forty elec tors being present. Mr. J. W. Win was in the chair. Mr. Smith spoko for an hour and a half, dealing chiefly with finance, the land question, education, public works ,reform of the Upper House, etc. The address was listened to with marked attention and at the close Mr. W. Best proposed and Mr Vanghan seconded a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker, and of confidence in him as a fit and proper person to represent them in Parliament. The motion was carried unanimously amidst applause. A vote of thanks to the chair brought a very successful meeting to a close.
Dates of meetings to be addrcsse'l by Mr. Smith next week are advertised.
