THE "DAILY MAIL" RACE

From Edinburgh to-day's flight in the "Daily Mail" race resolved _ itself into a contest between Vedrines and Beaumont, who reached Carlisle, via Stirling and Glasgow close together. Valentine was detained at Stirling by a broken propeller, and the other aviators are hopelessly in tho rear through various machine mishaps. Beaumont made a magnificent flight and reached Manchester half an hour before Vedrines.
