The King postponed his doparturo for Goodwood, and received Mr _Balfour and Lord Lansdowne in audience and discussed the situation. Subsequently His Majesty gave an audience to Mr Asquith, prior to the meeting of the House of Commons. Owing to unexpected developments Mr Balfour has postponed his city meeting.
