GENERAL SETTLEMENT PROBABLE.

(Received July 11, 0.10 a.m.) London, July 10. The Manchester dockers enthusiastically accepted the terms which the leaders negotiated with the Manchester Canal Company, but decided that it would be cowardly to return to v oik while the carters' strike remained insettled.

Mr G. R. Askwith negotiated through the night, and it is understood he arrived at a settlement v.ibh all sections at Manchester.
