THE SOUTH WALES MINERS.

PLEA FOR A GENERAL STRIKE

[Pbesb Association —CoPYBioHr J

(Received July 10, 10.10 p.m.)

London, July 10.

The South Wales Miners' Federation in a manifesto to British miners pleaded for a national strike in favour of a minimum wage at all collieries. It states that the South Wales miners are compelled to pay four shillings a month to the support of the Cambrian strikers, while the coal owners were simply paying three half-pence a ton giving the Cambrian combine £26,000 a month. Tho employers therefore can hold out for years without feeling the pinch.
