christehufeh, May 17. A meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association was held this evening. The Hawke's Bay Hockey Association and the Canterbury Hockey Association wrote asking for a ruling on rule 7, referring to the binding of hotkey sticksi The, following decision was givett, "That leather or greenhide, sewri round the head of the stick, with the seam at the back, is allowable, subject in all other respects to the Conditions in the rula"

Rules and conditions regarding, tho Nordon challenge cup were submitted by a sub-committee and were approvea. .The holders of the cup will be decided by moans of a tournament, and the following are the matches for the first round: Thames v. Waikato, Taranaki v. Wanganui, Manuwatu v. Horowhenua, Wairarapa v. Poverty Bay. Marlborough v. Nelson, West Coast v. Buller, Southland a bye;
