Fowlds), but it is yet to be placed in the hands of the Governor before details are made public. It is believed, howciyer, that the Cloilrt found ex-Captain Knyvett guilty, and confirmed the sentence of dismissal;

In connection with the Knyvett case and a reeent similar one in Tarariaki, it is understood that the general officer commanding the New Zealand forces (Major-General Godloy), considering the previous excellent records of these officdrs, will be prepared to recommend the favourable consideration to an application by either or both of them to be posted to the reserve officers' list, provided that such applications are accompanied by an ample apology for, and rotraction of the letters written or instigated by them.
