DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES.

(From "The Colonist," April 29.) The annual distrbntion of prizes in connection with the Christ Church Sunday schools took place in the bhelbourne Street Sunday School on JJuirsday evening. The Vicar (Rev. , • .| • kempthorne) presided, and the building was filled with friends and parents. The annual report showed that the roll scholars were 78 Christ Church and 25 Wood, with 11 teachers at the former school and three at the latter. An excellent entertainment was given by the children, all the items on the programme winch was as follows, being encoredlianoforte duet, Misses K. and E Cresswell; song, "The Bells," nine Christ Church Sunday school children; recitation, "Five Fives," bMiss Jennie Hogg; dialogue, throe children of the Wood Sunday school • action song, "Lullaby," Christ Church bvmday school children; scene from Uncle Tom'? Cabin," Misses R. lyirsten, J. Kempthorne, and D Home.

Inzes were 'istributed as follows:—Christ U'ii-roh Sunday school: Ist boys, Norman Nancarrow, Frank Eades, George Guy, Nelson Guy, first class prizes; 2nd boys, Geoffrey Kempthonw, Percy Simmis, Thomas bomm&rville, Fitzroy Smith, Charles Kmgsley, second class prizes; 3rd boys, Albert Eades, Harry Macdonalci first class prizes; Frank Guinness, Robin Smith, Alfred Smith, Jack Burton second class prizes. First Girls, Mabel Percival, second class prize ; 2nd girls, K. King, Joyce Kempthornej Gladys Cooper, first class prizes; Matai Rogers and Doris Sadd second class prizes; 3rd girls, Dorothy Youngdal, first class prize; May Burton, Kathleen Cresswell, Doris Hogg, Eunice Eades, second class prizes; 4th girls, Nellie Horncastle first class prize ; B. Ross, Milly Barton Millicent Kempthorne, May Smith, Dorothy Lockyer, and Kathleen Dunn second class prizes; infants, girls, Doris Smith, Marjory Smith, Violet Smith. Melvis Cooper, Eileen Gear; boys, Earl Wimsett, Jack Emmy, Ber+io Lockyer, Newton Blech'ynden. Hugh Ross. Special prize for full marks by tho Vicar.
