COLLINGWOOD STOCK SALES.
The No<\v Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— Wo held our Pakawau salo at Mr AY. P. Ferguson's yards on Monday last, when we offered 1000 sheep to a fair attendance of buyers. We had buyers present for Westport, Karamea, and Nelson, and with tho local competition the salci ivas a huge success. With the exception of a small lot of lambs every line was cleared at highly satisfactory prices. The fat sheep that came under our notice were, a splendid lot, being second to none in the Nelson district. Breeding ewes and store wethers sold well. Tho following are a few of our sales :—Fat wotliers, 10s 9d, 11s, 11s 6d, to 15s; fat ewes, from 10s 6d to 10s 9tl; forward lambs up to 8s 6d; breeding ewes from 8s Id to 9s 4d ; store wethers upto 7s 6d. The sainr< afternoon we held our Rockville sale at Mr Cederman's yards. Stock of all descriptions sold well. Tho following are some, of the prices realised :—Fat wethers from 12s 6d to 13s; fat steers up to £0 12s 6d; fat heifers to £5 15s 6d; two-year-old steers from £4 7s to £5 2s 6d; 18----months steers and heifers up to £3 ss; unbroken filly, two years, £12 10s.
