INCREASE OV TAXATION. (Received Fob 15, S.i>o p.m.) Hobart, LM> 15. Mr Dobson, in giving evidence before the- Royal Commission on Customs leakage, said that taxation under the federation had risen 19s Sd per head owing to the ever mcieasmg l'od-ri-il expenditure. Tasmania would be unable to stand tho strain unless it got a. subsidy.
