(From "The Colonist," Jan. 4.)

Early yesterday morning a man named Francis Joseph Sparks was found by a neighbour lying on the ground at bis home in Washington Valley, apparently in a fit. He was carried into his house, where he expired a few minutes later. An inquest has not been deemed necessary as deceased had been medically attended for some time past for epileptic fits. The deceased was a remittance man from Home, and had resided in Nelson for some years.
