LOYAL MANSION OF PEACE LODGE.

(From "The Colonist," Jan. 19.)

Tho annual summoned meeting of the Loyal Mansion of Peace Lodge was held at the Lodge-room, Wakefield, on Saturday evening last, Bro. Reg. Field, N.G., presiding. There was a fair attendance, of members, also visitors from Nelson, viz., the District officers, Bros. W IT. Prebble P.G.M., J. W. Hagen, P.D.G.M., a! G. Slirimpton, C.S., also P.G.s Bros. W. H. Robertson, W. Thomson, A. E. Davies, and A. Cross, and Bro. W. Martin, Palmcrston North Lodge. The balance sheet for the year was rr<ad and adopted. The Lodge was shown to have made very satisfactory progress, both iv members and finance. The membership now stands, at 197. Tho total worth of the Lodge is now £0146 8s Bd, an increase of £315. Notwithstanding the fact that the sick pay to the amount of £400 was paid to members, and medical attendance £71, £00 19s was paid to the district widows' and orphans fund. The several funds of the Lodge stand as follows :—Sick and funeral, £6267 ; Management fund, £153; distress fund, £20 18s 6d. The officers for the year, Bro. W. Bloomaart, N.G., and Bi-v>. W. Stephens, V.G., were duly installed by tho Prov. Grand Master. The Secretary elect being unable to take up the duties, Bro. Springer was nominated to fill the position. The ejection of delegates to attend the district meeting, to be held at Wakefield in February, resulted ns follows: P.P.G.M.'s Bros. P. Higgins and I. TinfWclilF, and P.G. Bro. J J Ricketts and P.S. Bro. F. E. Shuttleworth. The visitors were entertained with_ light refreshments, and iv returning thanks expressed the pleasure of being present, and complimented the Lodge on its sound position.
