Wellington, August 17. The Chief Justice gave judgment today iri'-"'the.'Supreme Court in the case. in which a readjustment was sought of the estate of the. late Lawrence Arthur Robert Worthington." The applicant was his widow. It appeared that deceased was father of six chilren, two of whom were illegitimate. To the latter he left in his will; £100 each. The Chief Justice said deceas-. Ed was bound to provide for the support of his' illegitimate children, as well as those born in wedlock— that was a moral duty cast upon him. There was no evidence that .'tho, illegitimate children could be- supported from another quarter.. Tlie -application roust be dismissed, with costs.
