AN ADJOURNED INQUEST.
Wellington, August 17. The'inquest on Alex. Allert, the old soldier, who died suddenly last week, was resumed to-day. Tlio police offered no further evidence, but Dr. Fyffe, who made the post mortem, forwarded a memo that, in his. opinion, the cyst on the brain -was the. ..result of a heavy fall, which piit Allen into the hospital with a fractured skull last December, and was hot''the result of a blow as supposed. • A verdict was returned that death was duo to injuries sustained-through falling against, a mautlepiece last week, causing the rupture of an old cyst,'hemorrhage of the brain resulting. i._ .
