PROFESSOR KOCH. [Press Association — Cop_ richt-J (Received M&y 29, 5 p.itt.) . Berlin. May 28. Professor Koch died of heart disease while undergoing the cure at' Baden Baden. [Professor Robert Koch, the discover of the phthisis bacilli, and ono* of the most eminent German scientists, was born in 1843. He was appointed a member of the Imperial Board of Health in 1880, and a Privy Councillor in 1883. Dr Koch was director of the German Cholera Commission in 1883, and since then director of the Institute of Hygiene at Berlin University. He was also honorary, professor and director of tho New In-, stitute for Infectious ' Diseases.], .-.
