SERIOUS FIRE AT AUCKLAND.

Auckland, April 20. A -fire occurred in\ Customs street, Auckland, to-night, on the premises of Charles Bailey, junr., boat builder, and Alf Baivey, blacksmith. Their stocks were destroyed,, while the premises of C. P. Murdoch, wood joiner, adjoining, were damaged. Among the stoct destroyed in Charles Bailey's premises were several boats, prinKpally launches. He estimates hiß loes at over £2000, but he has policies in the New. Zealand - Insurance Company's office* for £1000. AJf Bailey's loss is estimated at £300.
