(.j.-qsiuopO eqi„ {XUBpods) Christchurch, April 17. Four of the deer heads shot by stalkers in the Rakaia Gorge district have been placed in the Christchi rch office of the Tourist Departm. Nt, where they may. be seen by tWpuliic. Dr Moorhouse's bigtwelve pointer is the principail attraction in the group. The bay ones are good, and thebro-vn ones are abnormally /heavy. The Mo:i H. F. Wigram's fourteen pointer will also be admired. Mr Bes wick's eleven pointer is a fine head, with a great spread, which makes a bow. His f Miller deer head is notable on acoount of the fact that it is a typical Nelson head, and is believed indeed to have belonged to a stag obtained from Nelson, and liberated in the Rakaia by the Canterbury Acclimatisation Society about eight years ago. -
