HEAVY CALE AT THE GREY.
[United Pbes'b Association.] j Greymouth, April 17. A heavy gale raged in town and district on Thursday and Friday, when a good deal of damage was done. Fences, trees and chimneys were blown down in all directions. Old buildings also suffered." Greymouth was completely isolated on Friday night, all the telephone and telegraph wires being down, and the papers . were published without one telegram being reoeived. Telegraphic communication was restored to-day, and it ifl now fine. Tho ahipipng has been blocked for, a week, and several large vessels are in port.
