(Special to' "The Colonist.")

Christchurch, April 11. At the last meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association, the president referred/fco the race meetings and the Act. He pointed out that notwithstanding the issue of a pormit by the Minister of Internal Affairs to a riontotalisator club, if such club did not succeed in obtaining the approval of the Association of its programme, and held a meetiiig, all the horses and persons taking part in. that meeting would be disqualified. Ho was not sure of the object of the Act. It was decided that the President should interview the Hon. D. Buddo. The President waited upon the Minister to-day and the Minister stated that if a club applying to him had had its programme passed by the Association, it would as far'as he was concerned be evidence of the bona fides of the club, and as such would be accepted by liim.
