NEW ZEALAND HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

.(Special to "The Colonist.")

Christchurch, April 12. At to-night's i meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association in regard to a letter from the New South Wales Hockey Association, inviting the Now Zealand Hockey Association to send a team to Australia, it was decided to reply that in view of the probable visit of an English team, the Association regretted it could not agree to the proposal. The secretary of the English Hockey Association wrote stating that he was negotiating with hockey representatives of Ireland, Scotland,and Wales with a view to discussing with them the. practicability of sending out a combined hockey team to New Zealand, and he would advise the New Zealand Association as to the result of his enquiries.
