London, April 10. Four millions of fresh Treasury Bills have been issued, making tne floating debt £35,000,000 since the end of October. The interest paid is now £20,000 a week. Analysing the whole position, and including the taxation in abeyance, the "Spectator" estimates this year s revenue at £162,000,000, and expenditure at £175,000,000. *■ The imports of Continental champagne this year have increased 25 per cent owing to the fear that Mr Lloyd George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, intends to increase the duties.
