The annual meeting of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce was held to-day, when the following resolutions - wore carried : — • ; That in the opinion of this chamber tho citizens of Wellington have strong grounds for complaint at the long continued delay, of tho Government in providing in this city a general railway station; furnishing suit; abl© accommodation for the travelling public. That the City Council be requested to make urgent representations to the Government on the subject. That tho City ..Council be requested to" draw the attention of tho Government to the hardship and unreasonableness of restricting the suburban area to a distance of ten miles from a city like Wellington, and to urge that it bo not altered.;
