DEPARTURE OF THE S.S. PAPAROA.

The. ocean liner Paparoa left Nelson about ten, o'clock on Saturday night for Lyttelton, where she will finish loading, sailing for London about the -end of this month, bhe took the following cargo from Nelson: — 7905 carcases of fror.en meat, 29 crates of kidneys, 144 bales of wool and skins, 52 casks of tallow, 4471 cases of apples, 26 half cases of pears, and two cases of tinned fruit. She also took from Nelson for Monte Video 757 cases of apples, and 20 half cases of pears. Thus 5228 eases of apples Have been- exported, and Messrs Buxton and Co. must feel satisfied with the hearty manner in which their efforts to get away this important trial shipment have been backed up by those having orchards in the district. We trust the apples will meet with a ready market, and that satisfactory prices will be obtained.
