AMUSEMENTS.
ROYAL STANDARD PICTURES. A most attractive and up-to-date programme of pictures was submitted to. patrons of the Druids' Hall on Saturday, and a well filled hall greeted both afternoon and evening performances. Interest in the subjects screened drew.^ applause freely from the rise of! the curtain to the finish of a most entertaining bill. The star subject was the "Great Aviation Week," when the contest between the different inventors of the monoplane and bi-plane had a great outing. Not only are the flying machines shown in their contest for length of flight, but the height .contest, also, the arrival of the air ships, two of .which are shown, one in competition with an aeroplane. "The Romany's daughter," "Hate Between the Races," and "The' Flower Girl of Paris" are all fine dramatic subjects, while "The Gotta Canal and "Henley Regatta, 1909," are scenic pictures of the first order. Another most interesting film is the fashions in ladies' headgear from the j r ear 1200 to 1910, I in their chronological order, together with a pretty feminine face under each._ The comics, "Hypnotic Suggestions," where a man. xmder the influence imagines himself a horse arid runs away with a trap to which he is narnessed caused screams of laughter; The same programme will be repeated to-night.
