City Water Supply.

The City Council is at last taking serious action in regard to the water supply, which has been sadly deficient since to§. abandonment of the large dam. Under the Council's instructions, the City Engineer has prepared a detailed report on the possibility of drawing water from the Roding river to augment the supply available , from the Brook stream. He estimates that an expenditure of £5500 will secure an abundance of water for manyyears to come. The report has not yet been dealt with by tho Council
