Thompson, president, occupitxi the chair. Mr. Mackay gave an interesting report of the proceedings of the Dominion Conference, and received a hearty vote of thanks ior his sen-vices and the report. Mr. Hal-lam ably demonstrated, by experiment, the value of use of a multiplier in using oil washes, reducing the cost of spraying nearly one-half. Mr. Hunt, who was well received, gave an interesting address on the state of the fruit and produce market in Wellington, with special attention to the extra charges now being levied by the auctioneers, who with the exception of the Distributing Company, have virtually increased the cost of marketing fruit 2i.per cent.. The address which was listened to with great attention was followed by a strong resolution approving of tho Di.-tributing Company's action, and condemning the other firms for so unnecessarily increasing the already heavy expenses.
