NELSON AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the General Committee of the. Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held at Richmond on Saturday evening, when there were present: Messrs J. E. Bartlett (President), Hagen, James Ching, Coleman, G. W. Best, Wadsworth, Gaukrodger, Godfrey Best, Charles Ching, Holland .Gibbs.J. Hunt, W. D. Harkness, W. T. Bond, Talbot, G. E. Chisnall, H. Croucher, and T. B. Chisnall.
Apologies were received, from P. Higigns, N. Win, and WClayden. The correspondence was read by Mr Glen, the secretary. The Agricultural Department wrote, drawing attention" to veterinary diagrams, which are for .sale by the Department, a.nd which are deemed to be of great value to students and farmers.
The Hawke's Bay Association notified October 20th and 21st as its show days. ■ ■- • ' ' '
The following nominations were re«ceived for membership : — By Mr James Hunt: Messrs F. Neal, R. Hunter, W. Moorehouse, and D. Wells. By. Mr W. Coleman: Mr Brown,.of Stoke. By Mr Charles Ching : Messrs F. Kinzett and-Wells.- By the Secretary : Messrs A.- White, N. A. McLaren, and James O'Connor. By Mr Hayes Croucher: Mr Thomas Bell. -
•The eleven nominations were put to the meeting by the President, who declared the gentlemen above-named duty elected as members. It .was resolved that the annual meeting of the Association be held next month in the new tea room at the Richmond Park.
The meeting then adjourned.
