We ioarn that Mi- W, R, May. of Richmond, who has gone for a trip, reached London last Wednesday.
Mr A. K. Hayward, of Auckland, editor of the "New Zealand Farmer," who is touring the South Island, arrived in Nelson on Saturday. Mr Hayward proceeds to Blenheim by coach to-day.
Mr Jonathan Brougli, an Inspector under the Roads Department, in Nelson, who has been stationed in the district for a number of years, and who is now retiring from the service, was the recipient of a present from his fellow officers a few days ago. The ceremony took place in the District Road Engineer's, office, and the remarks of the speakers . evidenced the warm regard in which Mr Brough is held. s
