MR HARNETT EXPLAINS.
[Press Association.— Copyright.] Wellington, Feb. 3 Some comment was made recently on the reported interview with Mr Harnett, manager, of the English football team, which represented him as saying that his men would not' care about playing in New Zealand again. In a letter to a. member of the New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr Harnett says that a wrong construe-, tion had been placed on his words. What he did say 'was that in spite. of hard work on. the field most of the members. of his side would be glad to renew their football friendship on the colonial grounds . He ' has taken the opportunity to get the "Morning Post," in which the interview appeared, to publish a correction.
