SWIMMING.

: SATURDAY'S SPORTS. Arrangements are now complete tor the Nelson Amateur Swimming Club's sports : on Saturday-. They will be held on the same course as last year, between the Anchor Company's whaif and , the breastworks. Record entries have been received for each \of the twenty-three events, a "id ! vbe Club have every reason to anticipate a very large attendance; The Com-, mittee will be glad of any donatious towards the spprts, as' the expenses in this connection are heavy. Some of the most attractive evsata on the programme are the diving, all schools championship, .flying squadron race (six teams), and the Nelson polo championship between College and Nelson Clubs both of whom have been training very hard. Several very fast swimmers have entered from the College, and these,, with the many new swimmers who have come out this year, and the old club cracks should provide some very interesting racing.
