A TOUR IN AUSTRALIA.

Tauranga, May 17. The New Zealand Maori football team, the first representative football team of Maoris and half caste Maoris to leave New Zealand, take their departure for Australia during the present month. The team has been organised by Mr Aaher, the well-kown N.Z. rep, and Mr T. U'Farrell, the prominent Sydney referee. The men comprising the team hail from various parts of the Dominion. They will be formidable opponents. The Australian tour will extend over twelve weeks. In addition to footoall, exhibitions of hakas, war dances, and Maori games will be given, with full equipment. Included in the team is the gold medallist and champion haka performer of Rotorua.
