SUFFERERS BY BUSLI FIRES.

Auckland, March 6. Mr McKenzie, Cruwn Lands Commissioner, has just completed a tour of the Kawhia and district. Hel states that some thousands of acres! have been swept by tire. The Tekas ' nomoa and Oparau Valleys suffered most. The latter is practically burned out, and many settlers must sacrifice stock on a falling market. Dany farmers have suffered severely. Mr McKenzie is surprised at the splendid courage with which tbe settlers face their misfortunes.
